Children use their senses every day - but how aware are they of their surroundings and are they making full use of their abilities?
Four days have been organised at The Upminster Sanctuary for children between the ages of 6 and 10 to give them an opportunity during the summer school holidays to explore and develop their senses.
This exciting project will enable them to gain a greater awareness of the outdoors and nature, and to develop an understanding of how everything is connected.
Each of the four days will bring into play an individual sense using art, imagination, fun and practical exercises. The use of natural resources will develop their understanding of the world outside and increase their awareness of nature’s gifts and abilities to help them appreciate themselves and others.
