we''ll be having an Essex Mums Bake it Better meet-up at Monkey Bizzness on Tues 9th Feb from 11am in aid of Great Ormond Street's Kiss it Better appeal for children with cancer.

Bring along some cakes to sell, or just bring some pennies for yummy cake buying! There will be baking for the kiddies too.. not sure how it's going to work yet and if we'll need help with that but it should be fun!

Bake it Better
Bake it Better is all about cakes. Baking, selling and enjoying cakes - all for a good cause. It's a simple way to raise funds for Kiss it Better, our appeal to fund research into the causes and treatment of childhood cancer.

What's Bake it Better all about?
Bake it Better takes place from 8 - 14 February 2010 when people up and down the country will be going cake crazy in support of the appeal. (Don't worry if you can't hold your event during that week - just pick a date that's good for you)

We'd love you to take part by baking and selling cakes to your friends, family, colleagues or customers.

Cake sales are easy, delicious and a great way to raise money for a good cause.

Organising a Bake it Better event

It's really easy - take part in Bake it Better in five easy steps...

1. Set a date
Decide on a date and time for your cake sale
A woman eating cream cake

2. Get some help
Recruit a few friends or colleagues to help bake some cakes

3. Shout about it
Use our posters to advertise your event and email everyone you know with the date and time and send reminders as you get closer to the day

4. Enjoy
Bake, sell and enjoy your cakes!

5. Send us your donation
Make your donation online or download a monies return form and send us what you've raised.

Hope you can make it! The more the merrier so please invite anyone you can, mention it at nurseries etc!

If anyone can display some posters (whether you're coming or not!) that would be brilliant. It would be really good to get as many people as possible along and raise lots of money!

Just to say that my Mum is bringing Thomas for me as I have to go to work. I've just taken Thomas to her house with a big tin of carrot cake muffins for you to sell (I made them lastnight). Please look after her!

We are coming too! Looking forward to it! Won't be bringing any cakes tho! :( Sorry but we will buy some!

Do we need to say that we are there for the cake sale or just pay and go in like normal?

The cake stand will be set up by the toddler area so you'll just come in as normal I think.
