I'll start by introducing Iris! She's 18 months so right in the middle of this group and is... well... insane. She's smart, funny and doesn't seem to need sleep, ever. She's getting really verbal and seems to learn new words daily, as well as starting to put sentences together. Oh, she's also very bossy and I think is going to give her big brother a run for his money!

Hi there

I am new to this site just joined today. I have a little girl called Rose who is just over 14 months old now. She loves music and dancing all day long, she loves to blow kisses and play hide and seek and never keeps still for a second. She also does not need any sleep during the day sometimes only have 20 mins nap all day!!

I'm going to join this section!! Ethan is going to be 12 months (1 year!! ARGH!!) in 3 weeks time. He is teething currently so is a grissleface a fair amount of the time. He crawls around a lot so far and can pull himself up but no show of any want to walk anywhere! He still has two naps a day, about 2 hrs worth sometimes less sometimes more.

That's exactly what Iris is like! Actually she does sleep a bit longer in the day now that her big brother is at nursery, but she doesn't sleep much at night at all. She loves hide and seek type games too.

It's a fun age though isn't it? Even the burgeoning tempers aren't that bad!

I hate teething so much! My two both really suffer with their teeth. Felix not any more obviously but iris is still getting them through and has such a rough time of it.

Are you doing anything nice for Ethan's birthday?

Have you tried an amber teething necklace? Some people swear by them. I'm going to put Ethan's back on later to see if it makes a difference over the next few weeks. I'll try anything!

We're just having a small family get together for Ethan's birthday. I don't have the energy to throw a massive party that he won't remember. Bah humbug haha!

Hello!!

I'm here too. Jamie is just over 14 months old, born 30th july, and is in to everything. he touches everything he should and is the complete operisit in that way to his big brother :( His not naughty as such but very cheeky and loves trying to see how far he get go, great fun for me lol. His been walking since his 1st birthday so is well and truley walking now, at the moment he can easily walk about a mile in one go and loves walking and kind of running everywhere. He is extremely loving though and is always coming to us to give cuddles, then he'll pat my back or arm as we cuddle which is so cute :D
He sleeps for about 10 1/2 hours straight through at night then has about 1 1/2 hours sleep in the morning then another 1 1/2 hours later in the afternoon :D Follows his big brother for loving sleep which is good, i just wish he'd sleep past 7am like his big brother did lol Jamie loves Mickey Mouse, books and cars at the moment and loves to dance to on his mickey mouse music mat.

I haven't tried that, no. Perhaps I should. The problem with teething is I'm always thinking it should be over and done with soon enough so is it worth it etc. but then if it makes it easier for her maybe I should look into it.

Nicky, that's impressive that Jamie can walk a mile. I'm not sure how far Iris could walk. She's been mobile for ages though - since about 9 months in fact! She just wanted to get after Felix!

My youngest is Alfie, 19 months. He sleeps 7pm to 6am, and has 90 mins nap in the afternoon. He's a bit poorly at the moment though, so was awake a lot last night.
Alfie is quite a chatterbox now, always talking or singing.
He hasn't had any teething problems, I didn't even notice his teeth coming through.

I'm so envious of your good sleepers. Iris normally sleeps 8pm to 5am then wants a feed. She'll often have woken at least once in the night too. She's been getting better though and has even slept as late as 7am some days!

Well Sam who is just coming up 19 mths, what can I say he certainly keeps me on my toes!! he is very confident, a little comedian in the making - he sleeps from 7.30 to 6.30 at the very latest but I am lucky for him to sleep an hour during the day 2 hrs a miracle!!

Sam is very determined and knows what he wants - he's listening and understanding skills are very good for his age but his tantrums are awful!!

Everyone that meets him think he's an angel - I think more devil lol - oh and he is very bossy!!
