New to Essex Mums?

New postby weezypops » Mon Oct 11, 2010 5:23 pm

New to Essex Mums and wondering where to look next? Here's some ideas!

1. Say hello!: Tell us about yourself in the Introductions section. You're sure to get a warm welcome.

2. Fancy a chat?: Take a look at the daily thread in A Bit of a Chat and have a chat about your day. There's normally one started each day, and if there isn't, then start it yourself!

3. Looking for advice?: Want some help or advice with pregnancy or parenting in general? Just ask! You might also like to look at the Pregnancy and Parenting section for some informative articles

4. Want to meet some Mums?: If you want to meet up with some mums near you, take a look at the Meeting Up section to see if anything is happening near you. If there isn't, dive right in and suggest a meet up in your neck of the woods!

5. Want to chat about your kids?: Then why not start with the Parenting Groups and talk with Mums of other children the same age as your own.

6. Expecting?: Come and tells us your due date, discuss some name ideas and be sure to tell us when baby arrives!

7: Want to know what's on?: Then check out Things to Do for some great ideas and Places to Go to find out a bit more about local attractions. You might also like to take a look at the Map to find some places in your neighbourhood or further afield.

8. Money burning a hole in your pocket?: Then get some great shopping ideas from the Alternative Shopping Guide, or browse some lovely items on the Product Guide. If you'd like to read our opinions on things, look at the Product Reviews section.

9.For information about local shops and services, check out the Directory

10. Want to win?: Enter one of our great Competitions.

11. Just here to list your event?: Then hop over to the What to Do section of the forum and tell us all about it, or see the template for what to list.

12. If you're here because you'd like to advertise on the site, take a look at our rate card, and get in touch if you have any questions.

Or just take a look around the site and see what takes your fancy! If you need any help please don't hesitate to contact me via PM or on louise@essexmums.org

Hi Amy, you might like to introduce yourself in a seperate thread so people can say hello. You don't happen to live in Westcliff do you? It's just that my three year old son Felix goes to nursery with a boy called Harley.
