Ormiston Children's Centres

Ormiston Children's Centres are funded through the Government's Sure Start programme and combine care and education for young children, health services, family support and a base for childminders. The centres bring together locally available services although they will not necessarily all be developed on one site.

The seven Colchester based Children's Centres are there to serve families with children aged under 5 years in their local communities, working in partnership with Essex County Council, voluntary and statutory organisations, families, communities.

The Children’s Centres offer a range of fun activities for under 5’s and their mums/dads/carers plus support and information for everyone including parents to be and very young parents. The activities are free and most are open access and run all year including school holiday periods.  Just come along to your nearest centre.  Details can be found on www.colchester.surestart.org.
